Johanna Kelley
Founder and Managing Attorney
Johanna Kelley is the Founder and Managing Attorney of J Kelley Law Group. A bilingual Spanish-English international attorney, Johanna brings more than 20 years of experience in law, public policy, legal advocacy, and client-focused service.
Johanna earned her law degree from Santo Tomas University in Colombia, a Master of Laws from Duke University School of Law, and a Master of International Development Policy from Duke University’s Sanford School of Public Policy.
Before founding J Kelley Law Group, Johanna worked with private companies, human rights organizations, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security / USCIS. She leads the firm with professionalism, ethics, and a strong commitment to helping clients feel informed, supported, and confident throughout the legal process.
Miyah Kureishy
Associate Attorney
Miyah Kureishy is an Associate Attorney at J Kelley Law Group. A first-generation Pakistani-American, first-generation lawyer, and West Virginia native, Miyah brings a strong passion for legal advocacy, client service, and continuous professional growth.
Miyah earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The Ohio State University and her legal education from Penn State Dickinson Law, where she served as President of the International Law Society, Secretary of MESALSA, and Mentorship Chair for the Women’s Law Caucus.
Before joining J Kelley Law Group, Miyah gained experience as a legal intern for The Honorable Victor P. Stabile of the Pennsylvania Superior Court and as a Research Assistant at Penn State Dickinson Law. She is especially interested in litigation, international law, business law, and helping clients feel heard, supported, and confident throughout the legal process.
Suly Ochoa
Director of Client Relations and Colombia Office Manager
Suly Lorena Ochoa is the J Kelley Law Group Director of Client Relations and the Office Manager for our Colombia Office. Originally from Urabá, Colombia, Suly is a professional in Financial Administration from Fundación de Estudios Superiores Universitarios (FESU).
Since joining J Kelley Law Group in 2020, Suly has supported the firm through customer service, finance, and business management. Known for being proactive, generous, and committed, she helps clients feel welcomed, supported, and guided with care.
Jessica López
Bilingual Senior Paralegal and North Carolina Office Manager
Jessica López is the Bilingual Senior Paralegal and North Carolina Office Manager at J Kelley Law Group. Originally from Peru, Jessica speaks English and Spanish fluently and brings more than 15 years of experience in the immigration field.
Through her work, Jessica supports clients with professionalism, care, and strong attention to detail. Known for her experience and bilingual guidance, she helps clients feel welcomed, understood, and supported throughout their legal process.
Nicole Meza
Bilingual Legal Assistant
Nicole Meza is a Bilingual Legal Assistant at J Kelley Law Group’s Maryland office. She earned dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Criminology and Criminal Justice with Honors and Public Policy from the University of Maryland, College Park, along with a minor in Public Leadership.
As a first-generation daughter of Mexican and Venezuelan parents, Nicole speaks English and Spanish fluently and brings cultural understanding, care, and professionalism to her work. She helps clients feel supported, informed, and confident throughout the legal process.
Stephani Portillo
Bilingual Paralegal and Maryland Office Manager
Stephani Portillo Ordóñez is a Bilingual Paralegal and Maryland Office Manager at J Kelley Law Group. Originally from El Salvador, Stephani received her education in the United States and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science with a concentration in International Affairs and French.
As a bilingual team member, Stephani provides support in both English and Spanish. She is committed to guiding clients with professionalism, care, and clear communication throughout their legal process.
Andrea Celis
Bilingual Administrative Assistant
Andrea Celis is a Bilingual Administrative Assistant at J Kelley Law Group’s Maryland office. Of Mexican descent and with experience living in both the United States and Mexico, Andrea brings cultural understanding and a welcoming approach to the clients she serves.
Through her customer service and administrative work, Andrea helps clients feel guided, supported, and confident from their first interaction with the firm. She is committed to providing a positive experience and contributing to the firm’s client-focused service.
Lida Solano
Bilingual Legal Assistant
Lida Fernanda Solano is a Legal Assistant at J Kelley Law Group. Originally from Bucaramanga, Colombia, Lida is fluent in English and Spanish and brings experience in client support, customer relations, and clear communication.
Through her work, Lida assists with the firm’s cases while continuing to grow professionally with commitment, responsibility, and a strong willingness to learn. Her background has helped her develop a compassionate and attentive approach when supporting clients with their questions, concerns, and legal needs.

Cristhian Bustamante
Client Services Specialist
Cristhian Bustamante is part of the Client Services team at J. Kelley Law Group. Originally from Colombia, he is fluent in both English and Spanish and is passionate about providing a positive and welcoming experience for every client.
In his role, Cristhian supports clients by listening carefully to their questions and concerns, helping them understand the next steps in their legal process, and connecting them with the appropriate members of the team. He believes that every client deserves to feel heard, respected, and supported from their very first interaction with the firm.
Known for his patience, empathy, and strong communication skills, Cristhian is committed to delivering exceptional customer service and making each client’s experience as smooth and reassuring as possible.
Shirly Murillo
Attorney in Colombia and Paralegal
She earned her law degree from Universidad de Investigación y Desarrollo (UDI) in 2023 and has experience in the legal field in Colombia since 2022.
Since April 2025, she has been part of J Kelley Law Group, where she supports the preparation of immigration cases in the United States and assists with legal matters the firm handles in Colombia, including the drafting of legal documents, case follow-up, and communication with clients.
Shirly is known for her commitment, responsibility, and attention to detail, providing clients with close, organized, and high-quality support throughout their legal processes.
Katherinne Rodriguez
Marketing, AI, and Brand Growth Strategist
Katherinne Rodriguez combines data analysis with creativity and art to strengthen brand positioning. Specializing in business creation and AI implementation, she focuses on managing digital environments with the goal of building organic and loyal communities.
Through her work, Katherinne transforms statistics and market research into effective visual strategies while continuing her professional development by studying Software Engineering with strong commitment and curiosity. Her multidisciplinary experience has helped her develop a creative and solution-oriented approach, providing comprehensive support in web design and brand positioning.

Yeraldid Zambrano
Administrative Assistant and Contract Support
Yeraldid Tatiana Zambrano is a trilingual professional with a strong background in organization and interpersonal skills. After building a very solid foundation in customer service and file management at Mitsubishi Electric de Colombia, she brought all that experience into the legal sector. Today, she divides her time contributing her administrative talent at the law firm J Kelley Law Group and, part-time, at another law firm.
Thanks to her ability to adapt and learn quickly, Yeraldid manages to navigate the demands of the legal environment with complete ease. She handles contract support and daily management, consistently proving herself to be a key piece in maintaining order and workflow within both teams.

Jonathan Ramirez
Bilingual Legal Assistant
Jonathan Ramirez is a Bilingual Legal Assistant at J Kelley Law Group. Originally from Bucaramanga, Colombia, he provides support to both clients and attorneys in English and Spanish.
As part of the firm’s legal team, Jonathan is heavily involved in client communications and case management. He works closely with individuals and families throughout the legal process, helping them understand case developments, gather necessary information, and maintain communication with the attorneys handling their matters.
Jonathan primarily assists with personal injury and workers’ compensation cases, where he serves as a key point of contact between clients and the legal team, but supports immigration and family law matters when needed.
Known for his patience, professionalism, and commitment to client service, Jonathan strives to make every client feel heard, informed, and supported while pursuing their legal objectives with the firm.
